Happy Monday!  Coming off the beautiful, remote Blue Ridge Parkway we are again able to reconnect with cyber space. Many tales and adventures have been had by Anda and I (Will) while traversing the ridge line of the Appalachian Mountains.  One most exciting story comes from the discovery of Turtle Island Preserve.  About 15 miles south east of Boone, NC, the marvelous establishment can be found in a pristine valley. Some of the first things we laid eyes upon were a blacksmithing shop, dinner cooked on a wood-fired stove, a straw bale house, draft horses and accompanying implements, and Eustace Conway (The Last American Man).  I highly suggest reading the exerpt found through that link (shortcut)... pretty much sums it all up in my perspective.

Less than 500 miles to reach our homes in PA.  Then, the journey truely begins...
